Why the end of Breaking Bad doesn’t (and does) matter


I saw most of the first season of Breaking Bad (with the exception of a couple of episodes), and half of the first second season. “Addictive” and “habit-forming” are all pretty obvious puns to describe this show, centered around one man’s fate, after his decision to dive into the production and distribution of crystal meth. This article by The AV Club’s Zack Handlen, aside from being a wonderful essay, describes the beauty of tv-writing (and narrative pieces in general) at its best.
