Let’s go back to the early ’90s… a very urban and eclectic-sounding Mexican band, Maldita Vecindad y Los Hijos del Quinto Patio, was touring all over the world. Pachuco, the hit single from their album El Circo, channeled teenage rebellion and attempted to bridge generation gaps through mambo and straight up rock and roll. Now, if you stumble upon a cover by Kumbia Kings, please disregard it (it’s rubbish).
