If you have done your homework when it comes to the history of rock in Latin America, Charly García and Fito Páez are two figures that will inevitably will come up. García has been around for decades, and has served as an inspiration for Páez (who is also a filmmaker), and for countless generations of aspiring musicians and singer songwriters (I’m not that big a fan of Charly but, whenever I hear his music I can’t help but think of one of my older brothers and García’s MTV Unplugged). Their duet, Naturaleza Sangre, included in the album by the same name, features defiant lyrics and killer guitars. What’s not to love?
