Let’s allow ourselves to heal, Logan.
A Duffboy six-word memoir
“Heaven shower down blessings on you, and save me, that I may again and again testify my gratitude for all your love and kindness” (excerpt from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein)
Today, I choose to be grateful, despite being handled a smackdown from destiny.

We strive to transcend our conditions, to not let them drag us down but instead help us rise to the surface.

This is one of my favorite DisCo (Disintegration Collaboration) images. The print to this original digital photo of mine has been subjected to disintegration (weather and time). I edited it with Photoscape, and photographed at the bottom of a pila (a Guatemalan term for a cement structure used for washing clothes).
My life has improved considerably since I watched this short animated film. Also, Duffgirl and I have an inside joke related to it (Quite funny and worrisome at the same time).
As this goes out into the virtual world, I hope to be petting Leia, Mishus, Cucho, Simone or Peanut. My animal family. Will post more photos of them soon, promise!
I once joined creative forces with a couple of friends: a graphic designer (Mariaolga Reyes) and a musician/producer/DJ (Basico3). What we came up with, ZUM, was a cultural product that excited us. The concept stemmed from having writers, graphic designers and illustrators creating something out of nothing a seasonal theme. We put our money, time and ideas to work and produced a couple of issues, which literally have traveled the globe.
P.S. We also produced a bunch of stickers, placed in Guatemala City and New York City, among other places.

Nothing says: “It’s gonna be a great 2011″ like a calendarby Duffboy… but not just any simple collection of months, no… it features images that have been part of my Disintegration Collaboration bundles.
Part of my first venture into the DisCo project (Disintegration Collaboration) features artwork by Álvaro Sánchez (“A dog is left on the street”) intervened by yours truly.

I’ve been a contributing blogger and cohost to a redbubble group, Touched by Fire, thanks to the invitation of fellow artist and poet PJ Djennel. I share with you her tribute to our TBF group of cohosts and bloggers.

I believe the future can disintegrate things. This is part of the evidence that backs me up…
